Discover the authentic Mauritius, away from the beautiful honeymoon resorts with my 7-day road trip journey.
Day 1: Airport to La Gaulette
- Rent a car from the airport (try to survive the exit if you are driving on the other side of the road for the first time!) – I got a good price from First car rental

- Take a look at the Rochester falls
- Visit the Seashells museum

- Eat fish from Le Bougainville
- Have a drink at Mosaic

Day 4: From Flic en Flac to Trou d’Eau douce

I loved reading about your road trip in Mauritius! As a local, I can totally relate to how easy it is to navigate the island and discover its hidden gems. The diversity in landscapes from the beaches to the mountains is truly something special here. It’s great to see you enjoyed exploring places like Chamarel and Le Morne, which are some of our most stunning spots. Hope you come back soon to discover even more of what Mauritius has to offer
